Get better heat and keep the stove in good condition
Correct fuel, sensible positioning and regular cleaning all help the Topio perform as intended.
Burn dry, untreated logs
Use clean firewood with a moisture content of 20% or less. Do not burn painted, treated or manufactured timber because it can create harmful fumes and damage the stove or chimney.
Empty ash only when cold
Allow the stove to cool completely before removing the ashpan. Brush out loose residue and clean the glass using a method suitable for stove glass.
Plan ventilation and flue routing

Can the Topio be used beneath a gazebo or pergola?
It may be possible in a suitable structure, but the base, roof, combustible materials, ventilation, clearances and chimney system must all be properly planned. What wood should I burn in the Topio?
Burn clean, dry and untreated firewood with a moisture content of 20% or less. Avoid wet logs, painted timber, treated wood, household waste and manufactured boards.
