Include a wood burner in your garden room design
Why not include a wood burner in your garden room design
Rather than simply copying the styles of older burners, our stoves are contemporary looking without moving too far away from the romantic idea of logs in a fire. A clear window to an inviting flame that warms and creates a centrepiece for a room.
In the past year, we’ve experienced a noticeable increase in requests for stoves to be installed in garden rooms, summer houses and log cabins. Because of longer Summers, customers in the UK are staying home and enjoying their own gardens from their very own miniature holiday homes. Vesta wood burning stoves are favoured for these cosy spaces due to their short flue requirement of only a metre and a half, compared to many other stove manufacturers requiring up to four metres or more. Similarly, gas feeds can be costly to install and difficult to maintain, whereas a wood burner is an ideal compromise that fits the aesthetic perfectly.
Any of the Vesta range are suitable for garden rooms but our most requested stove for log cabins and garden rooms is the Vesta V2. This is mainly due to its small kilowatt (heat energy) output but also the ability to load a 30cm log. This means that a standard stock log can be added to the stove right away instead of having to re-cut the wood into small pieces. The V2 stove (so named because of its 2kW output) was also recently featured on Channel 4’s George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces, as well as pictured on the front cover of the book following the series.
For practical reasons, we have developed custom heat shields to allow a stove to be installed closer to a wall; saving on valuable floor space. We also employ self-cleaning glass in each stove that we build, ensuring every customer has a wide clear view of the beautiful flame that only a stove can produce. Much more romantic to snuggle up to than an oil filled radiator!
Each one of our stoves is hand built and produced in our workshop in Lancashire. Every stove is unique with its own tale to tell, and we can cater for different build sizes and custom requirements depending on where the stove is to be installed. One of the latest designs to come out of our workshop is the Crantock. A hark back to a more rustic feel (but with contemporary sensibilities) the Crantock can warm a room but also boil a kettle or cook a treat or two, thanks to its large flat stove top.
Our wood burning stoves can be found all around the country in homes, offices, summer houses, shepherd huts, garden studios, converted barns and even narrow boats! We have a range and a colour available to suit every scenario, with a lifetime warranty if installed by one of our engineers. For a set fee, our engineers will cover the length and breadth of the United Kingdom too. Making sure you can keep warm, bring a unique look and feel to your property without breaking the bank, and reduce your impact on the environment all at the same time.
